Aky and Ina met each other in the secondary school and since then have been close friends. While in school they were always seen together and had a lot of things in common:
⇒Both were liars, always fabricating lies to extort money from their parents.
⇒They were usually seen in hidden corners of the school playing cards while other students studied in the classrooms.
⇒They both lived extravagantly and used to steal from other students in order to maintain their extravagant lifestyle.
⇒They used to attend night clubs twice a week. It was at such clubs they learnt how to drink beer, smoke cigarette and dance the latest hits.
⇒They belonged to the only secret cult in their school and used to threaten and intimidate fellow students.
⇒They had no time for God; hence they used to spend their Sundays sleeping after spending their Saturdays in a club.
Aky and Ina had girlfriends in school whose names were Mia and Gluno. They had impregnated them several times and caused them to do abortions. The last abortions the girls had were not very successful and almost cost them their lives. Mia and Gluno were expelled from school after that. Shortly afterwards, Aky and Ina were caught in examination malpractices and expelled from school as well. Though they had successfully covered their sins from their parents and teachers for some time, their sins eventually found them out according to Numbers 32:23. Their expulsion from school exposed the four to public ridicule and disgrace.
Are you like Aky, Ina, Mia or Gluno? Are you heading the way of death and destruction as they did? Are you already destroying your future? Remember that the consequences of sin are reaped both here on earth and in eternity. The wages of sin is still death- Romans 6:23. Proverbs 28: 13 says, “He that covereth his sins shall not proper, but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” There is still mercy with the Lord hence His invitation to you in Isaiah 1:18, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red as crimson, they shall be as wool.” Are you willing to honour this divine invitation?
Peradventure you don’t live in obvious sins like these wayward pair; you are self-righteous and feel you are okay, you are still a sinner in need of a savior. Romans 3:23 says, “for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Every student in every generation has a choice: to obey God or to do his or her own thing. Ecclesiastes 12:1 says, “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.” Don’t wait till you are old before you remember God; you may not live to see tomorrow. Even youths die! Therefore, make peace with God now and prepare for eternity. You must not go to hell!
Are you willing to make peace with God? You can do that right now by confessing your sins to Him, repenting of them and committing your life to Christ. Turn away from sin and begin to live for Christ.
In case you would like some help in the wording of your prayer, we suggest the following: “Heavenly Father, I confess that I have sinned against you and ask for forgiveness. Thank you for sending Your Son Jesus to die on the cross for my sins. Thank you also for raising Him from the dead. Today, I ask Jesus to come into my heart to cleanse me from sin and become my Lord and Saviour. In Jesus Name I pray.” Amen!
If you decided for Christ after reading this tract, write to us so that we can rejoice with you and pray for you.
